All your health data. One place. Free.
174 health metrics, your food diary and your training, in a single app that costs nothing — plus four free ways for your AI to read it. No account, no subscription, no paywall waiting a month in.
One email when the beta opens. Nothing else, ever.
Your health data shouldn't be a subscription.
Everyone has a body. Everyone should be able to see what their own devices have recorded about it, keep it somewhere they control, and get it out again — without a monthly bill, an ad break, or a feature they used last week disappearing behind a tier.
That is the entire argument. Marrow is free because charging for access to your own health record is the wrong business to be in. The things other apps sell back to you — barcode scanning, automated export, CSV, agent access — are the baseline here.
Most health apps read a dozen things. Marrow reads everything.
Your watch, your ring, your scale and your phone have been recording for years — running power, walking asymmetry, wrist temperature, VO₂max, blood oxygen, HRV. Almost none of it is visible in an app you'd actually open. Marrow surfaces all of it, in one browsable place.
steps, energy, flights, distance
HR, HRV, resting, recovery, ECG
stages, hypnogram, debt
mass, body fat, lean, BMI, waist
SpO₂, rate, FEV1, peak flow
speed, asymmetry, steadiness
environment dB, headphone dB
39 nutrients incl. micros
State of Mind, mindful minutes
all 39 HealthKit symptoms
14 reproductive-health types
handwashing, toothbrushing
Thirteen essentials are on from the first launch. The rest is one switch in Settings — Marrow asks for permission incrementally instead of throwing a 174-row consent sheet at you on day one.
Four ways in. All of them free.
Marrow runs a Model Context Protocol server on your iPhone. Point Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client at it and your assistant can ask real questions of real data — no exporting, no uploading, no pasting a CSV into a chat window.
Health Auto Export ships an MCP server too, but it requires a Premium subscription. Ours is in the free tier, and so are the other three doors out.
health_summaryRecent days: activity, heart, sleep, nutritionlist_metricsEvery metric tracked, with units and coveragemetric_dailyDaily values for any metric, up to 400 daysmetric_samplesRaw records with timestamps and sourcesworkoutsAll workouts plus set-by-set strength detailnutrition_logFood diary with full nutrient breakdownBearer-token auth, local network only. The server is off until you turn it on.
Agents (MCP)
Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client queries the phone directly. Six read-only tools, one paste to set up.
Automated
Scheduled pushes to any URL you name — Home Assistant, n8n, your own endpoint. Runs with the app closed.
Your own server
Pair a self-hosted mirror on a Pi, NAS or old laptop. One Python file. It speaks MCP too, so agents reach it 24/7.
Manual files
CSV, JSON and GPX to the share sheet, on demand. No tier check, no email-me-a-zip flow.
These are the four cards on Marrow's Export tab, not a marketing list. Agent access alone runs three ways: on the phone, on a server you own, or through a relay that keeps answering while your phone is in your pocket.

Sources: the Health Auto Export App Store listing and its MCP prerequisites; MyFitnessPal's pricing page and its export documentation. MyFitnessPal free accounts can still request a data download under GDPR/CCPA; the in-app CSV export is the Premium feature. Health Auto Export is a genuinely good app and got to MCP before we did — the difference is who has to pay for it.

It all stays on the phone.
There is no Marrow account, no Marrow login, and no Marrow server holding your history. The database lives on your iPhone. Every statistic, baseline and trend is computed there.
No sign-up, ever
Install it and it works. There is nothing to create, nothing to verify, and no password to lose.
Your data goes where you send it
Export to CSV or JSON, or point Marrow at your own server or webhook. The destinations are yours; there is no default that phones home.
One honest exception
Photo meal logging sends that photo to an AI model to identify the food, then discards it — camera and location metadata stripped first. Barcode and search never leave the phone. The feature is optional and everything else works without it.
Logging without the tollbooth.
Scan a barcode, search four million products from Open Food Facts, photograph the plate, or quick-add the numbers. Strength training gets real routines with sets, reps and a rest timer. Cardio takes one tap.
Everything writes into Apple Health
Marrow refuses to be another silo. Log it here and every other app you use sees it immediately — including the 39 micronutrients most trackers throw away.
No ads, no upsell wall, no streak guilt
Nothing between you and your own diary. The features that competitors paywall — background sync, automated export, agent access — are the free tier here.

Anything that writes to Apple Health shows up in Marrow, which is nearly everything. You probably don't need to buy a thing.

Free, and specific about where that ends.
Plenty of apps say "free" and mean "free until it matters" — MyFitnessPal's barcode scanner used to be free, and now it isn't. So here is exactly where our line sits, written down in public so it can't quietly move later.
- All 174 metrics
- Background sync and automated export
- Food and workout logging
- MCP agent access
- CSV and JSON export
- Every insight and chart
These will not become paid. That's the commitment, and it's the reason the list is this specific.
- Photo meal analysis
This one costs us real money per photo, so we're flagging it now rather than surprising you later. There's a daily limit. Barcode, search and manual entry are always unlimited.
Built by someone who checked.
Marrow is built by Aidan, who went looking for what his phone had actually recorded, found that a popular export tool was quietly dropping about 40% of his daily steps, and wrote an app that doesn't. That's why Marrow reconciles every day against Apple Health's own totals — but it isn't the pitch. The pitch is that all of it is finally in one place, your agents can read it, and none of that costs anything.
There's no venture money here and no growth target to hit, which is exactly why the free tier can stay this wide. If Marrow ever charges for something, it'll be a new thing built on top — never the data you already have.
